關于教師節的英語介紹
In the history of Chinese education, Confucius is a paragon of all teachers, symbolizing the philosophy of “Educate all without discrimination, and teach according to the abilities of ones students.” Using the six arts of rites, music, archery, chariot driving, learning (including reading and writing), and mathematics, Confucius had more than three thousand disciples during his lifetime. In practice of his credo, the Sage never refused a student because of his class or character, requiring only that his pupils possess a sincere desire to learn.
During the crisis of the Spring and Autumn Period, Confucius sought to end the chaos of the times. Believing this disorder to be a reflection of declining morals in society, he exhaustively toured the various warring Chinese states to advise rulers and officials on the merits of ethical rule. In his later years, Confucius reorganized the ancient texts, thus laying a solid foundation for China's enduring civilization. In 1939 the Ministry of Education pronounced that Confucius' birthday would be celebrated on August 28, and designated it as Teachers' Day as well as a national holiday to remember Confucius' enormous contribution to Chinese culture and society. The date was changed to September 28 in 1952 in accordance with chronologists' new findings. Today, Teachers' Day not only commemorates China's foremost teacher in history but also honors all teachers for their hard work during the year.
Every year during Teachers' Day, the Confucius Memorial Service is solemnly held at the Confucius Temple to show respect and honor for the Sage. At the “Teachers Day Celebration” held by the Ministry of Education and the various local governments, teachers with the highest seniority and best qualities are recognized for their conttribution to society.

Unit 5 The Accident本單元要求學生更好地掌握過去進行時態的各種句式，并能活學活用；掌握用“had better”等來提出建 議的句式，通過做18課的練習2之后，使學生逐漸了解如何進行課文縮寫。可以模訪第19課的“ACCIDENT
REPORT”進行練習。
在第二冊第6單元已經學到過用“shall”，“Let’s”和“why not”來提出建議，并作簡略回答。
如：
①-Shall we go at ten?
-Good idea!
②-Let's go at ten?
-OK!
③-Why not go at ten?-All right.
這一單元里，主要學習有關“had better”的用法。“had better＋動詞原形”表示“最好做某事”，用 來向別人提出建議，其形式可以縮寫為“d better”。如：
①You'd better do your homework now.
②We'd better go to school.
“had better”的否定形式為“had better not…”如：You'd better not watch TVnow.
在前一單元里，已經學習了過去進行時的構成和用法，這一單元著重學習它的否定句式、一般疑問句式及 在從句中的用法。
1．過去進行時的否定式在助動詞“be（was或were）”后面加上“not”即可。如：
I was not washing clothes last night.
―Was Tom writing a letter at seven yesterday?
3．在含“when”和“while”（當……時)引導的時間狀語從句的復合句中，常有過去進行時，表示一個 動作在過去某一時刻或一段時間內正在進行或發生。這一過去進行時的動作可以出現在主句，也可以出現在從 句中，但要注意的是，用該時態的動詞常常是一個持續性動詞。如：
①Someone knocked at the door when I was cook-ing
② While we were talking，my mother came in.
③ The twins were sweeping the floor when their mother returned.
另外，含“when”的復合句中，主句用過去進行時，從句用一般過去時的情況下，常包含有“意外”之概 念，如前例③。
1. You look tired today. (2.17)（你看上去很累。）
該句中的“look”意為“看起來”，是系動詞，而在這種系動詞后面常用形容詞作表語如look young/hap y/old/…等，另外，“look”也可用作實義動詞，并且有許多相關詞組，如：look at …（看…）look like… （看起來像……），look the same（看起來很相像），look for…（尋找……），look after…（照料/照看 ……）等等。當然，不能再用形容詞來作表語或修飾它，如果要修飾，只能用副詞。如：
Please look after your watch carefull.
2． A woman saw it happen when she was walking past．(L17)
表示感覺的動詞如“see，hear，watch”等以及一些其它動詞如“make，let”等，后接不定式作其賓語補 足語時，該不定式前不帶“to”。如：
①I’m tired．Let me have a short rest．
②Do you often hear Tom sing this song?
另外,“see，hear，watch”等還可后接現在分詞作其賓語補足語。如：
I heard someone laughing. (我聽到有人在笑。)
3．The children were leaving school on Tues-day when they saw a truck． (2．18)
該句中有二點需要注意：
①“were leaving”是過去進行時的形式表示過去將來的動作，即“正要離開……”。在英語中，個別動 詞如：“leave，go, come，start”等，它們的進行時形式可以表示一個最近按計劃或安排要進行的動作。如 ：
me next week?

明天就是全國26個教師節了，我要預備什么禮物送給我敬愛的老師們呢?我一放學就思索著這個問題，回到家里，緩緩的做完功課，吃晚飯時，我腦子里一道靈光閃過，呵呵，想到了。我要送給我們的老師一份媽媽教我的超厚味超好吃的可樂雞翅。
吃完晚飯后，我就和媽媽去華潤超市選購做雞翅的材料。我精心挑選了差不多兩斤的雞翅，再去買一瓶可樂，就可以回家了。開始做了，我先往鍋里倒一點油，然后在油里放點白糖。過了一會兒，油沸騰以后，就可以放雞翅了。我將雞翅一個個放進鍋里，鍋里的油碰到冷物質就飛濺起來，我跟媽媽左躲右閃，但是仍是各自中了幾招，還好無大礙。等雞翅兩邊都變成金黃色的時候，我就把醬油和可樂倒進了鍋里。然后再加點姜。蔥跟佐料，蓋上鍋蓋，燜上足足十分鐘，然后再把火調小，再燜五分鐘，香噴噴的雞翅就出爐了。我捧著這一盤雞翅，心里非常興奮，期待著老師們吃到雞翅的反應，我要請她們給我打分。呵呵——我要以這種方式祝我的老師節日快樂!老師你們辛勞了!

一年一度的教師節又到來了。每年的這個時候，贊頌老師用得最多的句子就是：春蠶到死絲方盡，蠟炬成灰淚始干。而我卻最不喜歡這樣的句子。
我不愿意做蠟燭。
蠟炬成灰淚始干，這樣的句子總是透出一陣陣的隆厚的悲涼，為我心目中的教師這個角色抹上了自毀式的蒼涼色彩。而做為一名年輕教師，我覺得更可怕的是自己把自己當成蠟燭，總是以為自己很苦很累；總是以為自己付出和犧牲了很多很多；總是抱怨自己得不到理解得不到回報；總是抱怨：我那么辛苦的對待你們，你們還不爭氣......
這個時候如果我把自己當成了蠟燭，心中郁積的就會是不平、郁悶、焦慮甚至惱羞成怒。我不喜歡被稱作蠟燭，因為我覺得，教書是一件非常愉快、充滿樂趣的事，自己在付出的時候，同樣也是得到的時候。
從學生們英語課上飽滿的情緒中，我得到的是滿足；
從學生們一篇篇或優美或稚嫩的隨筆和周記中，我得到的是樂趣；
從學生們認真的對待英語學習的過程中，我得到的是尊重；
從學生們在我QQ上的一段段留言和手機短信中，我得到的是感動；
從學生們在周記本上、在我空間上寫的悄悄話中，我得到的是信任；
從孩兒們在我上課時對我講的知識、觀點的質疑中，我得到的是平等；
從學生們的一張張笑臉中，我得到的是愉悅；
從學生們的一個個成功中，我得到的是欣慰；
而從一切的一切中，我得到的是都是快樂！
講臺更是舞臺，展示自己，付出辛苦，收獲快樂！
教學的過程，同樣是求知的過程，同樣是充實自己、豐富自己的過程，這其中的快樂，又怎么會是一支蠟燭所能體會到的呢？而如果只有疲憊感、壓抑感、挫敗感、沮喪感，不能感受到教學過程的愉悅和美好，這樣的老師，就不是快樂的老師。
所以我不愿做自毀式悲壯且蒼涼的蠟燭，我要精力充沛，我要信心十足，我要精神飽滿，我要熱力四射！
我喜歡把教師比喻成撐船的渡夫，三年一調頭，送走一批學生就送走了一批渡客。老師、學生，渡夫、渡客，這就是緣分。
而我，我更愿意做一個花園里的花匠，同學生們一起在花園里栽花鋤草，春暖花開。
